Ironclad Siege — Operation Cinderfall adds a new map and a full destructibility pass
KRAKÓW, POLAND — Molten Anvil Interactive today released Operation Cinderfall, the seasonal content update for Ironclad Siege. The update adds Foundry Row, a compact three-objective map set in a decommissioned steelworks, and reworks how cover breaks across the entire existing map pool.
The destructibility pass replaces per-map hand-authored damage states with a single shared model, so a concrete pillar, a sheet-metal partition and a stacked pallet now fail in consistent and predictable ways wherever players meet them. Ranked play also changes this season: placement matches have been reduced from ten to seven, demotion protection now applies for two matches instead of one, and the end-of-season decay window has been widened after community feedback that it punished players who take a short break.
Operation Cinderfall is free for all owners of Ironclad Siege and is live now on Steam. Full patch notes are published in-game and on the studio's community channels.
KRAKÓW, POLAND — Molten Anvil Interactive is migrating anti-cheat for Ironclad Siege to Cerberus, which is currently in closed beta. The change replaces the studio's previous third-party anti-cheat provider, which is not being named. The decision follows a sustained false-positive problem under the previous system, in which players with unusual but entirely legitimate hardware and input setups were banned, and the resulting appeals became a full-time job for one member of the support team.
The studio's main reason for choosing Cerberus is how it handles uncertainty. Detections carry a confidence score: only results above a high threshold produce an automatic ban, while mid-confidence detections are flagged and routed to a human reviewer instead of acting on their own. Molten Anvil is pairing that with a published appeals process, a named turnaround target, and a commitment to reinstate and publicly correct any ban it gets wrong. The Cerberus client component is a kernel-mode driver that loads when Ironclad Siege launches and unloads when the game exits; it does not run when the game is not running.
"We lost trust with a part of our community by banning people who did nothing wrong, and you do not get that back with a statement," said Sofia Andrade, Live Ops Director at Molten Anvil Interactive. "What we needed was a system that is willing to say it is not sure and hand the case to a person. That is the part of Cerberus we are actually buying. It is a closed beta and we are going into it with our eyes open — we expect to find problems, and we would rather find them with a vendor that treats a wrong ban as a bug."
The migration is rolling out to all Ironclad Siege regions over the coming weeks. Players do not need to take any action. The studio will report back on how the change performs once it has a full season of data.

Molten Anvil Interactive appoints Tomasz Bielak as Head of QA
KRAKÓW, POLAND — Molten Anvil Interactive has appointed Tomasz Bielak as Head of QA. He joins from a larger Warsaw studio, where he spent six years building test infrastructure for live multiplayer titles, and takes over a QA group that has grown from three people to nine since Ironclad Siege launched.
His first priority is the studio's automated regression suite, which will be rebuilt around hit registration and full match-flow soak tests so that networking regressions are caught on the build farm rather than in a playtest. The studio is also moving to a single shared test plan across QA, live operations and engineering, replacing the parallel checklists the three groups had accumulated.

Anvilborn to gain three new languages through partnership with Vermillion Loc
KRAKÓW, POLAND — Molten Anvil Interactive has partnered with localisation studio Vermillion Loc to bring Anvilborn to Japanese, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese. The work covers the full interface, item and tutorial text, and the game's written journal entries; Anvilborn has no voiced dialogue, so no re-recording is involved.
The three languages were chosen from eight years of community requests and store-page traffic. Vermillion Loc will also review the existing English and Polish text, which has drifted across nearly a decade of patches and never had a consistency pass.
The localisation will ship as a free update to all owners of Anvilborn alongside an anniversary update in 2026. No date has been set.
